This is my 83 185s gas tank that did have three big dents in it, after I had them pulled, I primed and painted it and then put a couple coats of clear on it. I had a local woman make my decals, I asked her to make them with the dark blue stripe and the black around HONDA out of dark blue metallic, it seems to look alright and a little bit different from the rest, so I like it. Also in these pics the middle stripe looks turquoise, but it's the color of the original medium blue stripe. Enjoy, Kaysen

The plug wire is an NGK small block chevy plug wire. I just used a can of 6 year old 89 cent Wal-Mart rattle can (Banner red- the closest thing to honda red ever made, but honda red (it hasn't been made since 98.)) I used newer Wal-Mart rattle can clear also. Kaysen

Thanks on the compliments, but now 42F67N has me worried ? Why couldn't I spill gas on it, if the paint is cured out? I know that wet paint will come off with gas, but will dry paint? Thanks, Kaysen

if it's not the right paint, i painted my cases on my tecate engine with can spraypaint then used a high heat acrylyc enamel, just cus i new i might get a little gas on it hence the carbureator right above it and yep, next morning i went out there, forgot to turn off my gas and it leaked out the overflow and all over my new paint on the rear of the cases...bubbled up and peeled off with the next washing...now there are a bunch of exposed metal spots.. :(
