200x kickstart seems hard to kick

hello new member here, i have a 83 200x and the kicker seems really hard to kick seems like its locked almost but the Piston is free and the motor will kick fine without the plug. any idea what it could be.

Maybe it has a really high compression piston?

the bike do have alot of compression but im not really sure i had the bike for a while now haven't had any problem with it
