83 200x kick start return spring

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to purchase a 200x. One of the local offerings is an 83. Seller states the kick starter works but you need to bring it back up with your foot.

I've never worked on one of these before so just wondering how much is involved in replacing this?

And is it still available or will I need to get one secondhand?

Only available used , part is discontinued .
It’s a major operation , center cases have to be split to replace that spring .

Time consuming and a couple special tools .
Flywheel puller and a clutch spanner socket .

I have an 83 200X kickstart gear repair set, pinion, ratchet and updated spring for sale.

They are a bit buried ATM as I built an addition on my shop.
