I took my crank to a small shop. his catalogs dont list a rod kit. I told him I bet I can find a source before you can! Prove me right! I want to avoid the stealership. a manufacturer and part number would be fantastic!

I took a look in my Wiseco catalog...Found nothing in the way of rods or cranks. You may be limited to genuine Yamaha.

I have been told a Niks aftermarket rod from an 84-86 YZ250 will work but I cannot confirm it.

Try to go to www.TJPARTSXPRESS.com
it says that the83-89 yz250 takes the same rod. They have rod kits from vesrah,#rd4001 $74.99,pro-x,#rd141$83.99,hotrod,#rd7302$83.99
Theese kits come with all bearings washers and pins.
Or send the crank to Gt Thunder and have him rebuild it for $125,that includes the new rod and labor to install it. Good luck
