Anyone tried and either failed or succeeded converting to a modern 450 master cylinder with the integrated reservoir? I have three 3rd gen projects currently in progress and I think it would look pretty clean if I could eliminate the hose and plastic reservoir on the rear end. I don't want to mod the frame, as I can't weld and already paid for powder coating. Just curious if anyone ever tried it?

Their is a kit already available, I believe it’s sold by BDT .
I installed one about a year ago . They also sell the 450r rear caliper kit .

Sweet. Thanks. $409 is a bit more than I am willing to pay just to get rid of a reservoir. BDT makes great stuff (I have a few items of theirs), but they seem to price themselves out of the overage customer's budget for a lot of items. I think I can make a mount myself just looking at their picture. Worth a shot.

Its a shame they don't just sell the adapters and the hose. You could buy the master cylinder some where else and save some $$.

I completely agree. I already have a steel braided line. I really only need the bracket. I wonder if they would sell just that to me. I'll hit them up on eBay and see if they are open to it. Otherwise, I have some steel plate lying around that I could try. Not sure if the billet clevis is absolutely necessary or if the stock one can be made to work. I suppose I will see.

So they offer the clevis and bracket, but they want $209 for it. They aren't willing to sell any parts individually. Looks like it's time to give it a go in the garage!
