brake pedel return springs

I have a 1985 Atc 110 and a 1982 185s, both need brake pedel return springs. I found somewhere that this (46514-vm3-000) is the part number for both trikes, but when I look the part number up part sites it say discontinued and other springs for cbs and other bikes/quads with different part numbers. Would there be a different part number I should be looking up or does anyone know what other machine I would be able to put on without modification?

I just went to Ace hardware and found a similar-sized one and have been running it for 2 years with no problem, and it was about $3.70.
