watching Bigfoot bikes and brews videos
they bolted 2 atc90 round headlights together and stuck them on a 185s suspended front end. it looks different and wondering if anyone else tried it on a trike? I've got 2 of these round headlights in the parts tub and kicking the idea around. jim

I don't see why you couldn't do it.

I love the look of those two round lights. You should go for it and see if you can make it work Jim!
I just picked up a clean uncut 200m harness complete with rectifier for my daughters Atc200s. Plan is to add Round DC LED headlight (maybe 2)and a 12v outlet for a compressor or USB charger. Planning on adding a Battery box and a key switch.
Fingers crossed that it works. Electrical work is not really my strong point!!!
Take care

The round atc90 head lights are 6 volts , not sure how they will react to the 45 watt unregulated 12 volt 200s stator lol , now if you can find a couple 20-25 watt 12v bulbs that fit in those sockets I think you’ll be good to go .

I really like the way it looks. I think some mesh headlight protectors would look real slick on a set up like that.

I ran these years back.

They're 4/4.25" utility lights and are available in several lens configurations and even colors. They are very tough and used to be inexpensive, but don't know what they cost now. I used a flood beam for low and the spot for high and they're actually pretty bright and the beams patterns are well defined. I'm still running one of those on my moped and have been for a couple years now.
I think the ones I used were 35 watts each.
Edit: They're 4.5" and called PAR36. They were and maybe still are to some extent, a standard in multiple industries. Tractors, big trucks, equipment, emergency/rescue vehicles, boats, and even studios. They are available in several voltages, watts, colors, and lens types. There are even some halogen ones available instead of the sealed beam.
Here's one site I found, but there are many others. https://www.bulbamerica.com/collections/par36-bulbs?
I even found some colored lenses. https://www.pssl.com/products/adj-american-dj-plastic-lens-for-par-36-pinbeam-blue-4-pack

Of course, the housings don't come with just the bulb and there are several types of housings available. Metal, plastic, and rubber. I prefer the rubber housings that have a metal base riveted on. The rubber is very hard and the bulbs just pop in. Unless it's summer, the rubber housing will need some heat to be pliable enough to replace a bulb. I think the rubber housings do a better job handling vibration.

The 200S stator puts out 50w max (5w to tail light) so you'll need to match the power draw to the machine's output. 2x 25w lights and an LED tail light would work. Two 15w bulbs and the 5w tail light would only be 35w and the lights might burn out from over voltage (the lights are the regulator on those machines).
ATC90 stock bulbs are 6v, but you can get some TRX bulbs that are a perfect match and 25/25w. This should fit the stock atc90 headlight housing to convert it to 12v and be roughly the correct wattage. If I remember the the atc90 sockets are wired for the 2 prong bulbs like these are. Should be basic match up the green, white, and blue wires and the physical mounting.

I bought one of those ebay replacement headlights for the 200s, mounted it plugged it in, first time I turned the low and high on, they both went out. jim

I'd contact the seller, sounds like they shipped with the wrong sized bulb. Your stock bulb would be 45/45w. You said both, so if there's two lights you'd need about 25w in each headlight. There possibly could be small print in the listing about requiring a regulator or something too. Don't have a clue which item you're talking about, so can't really help with bulb suggestions.

On that topic, while these trikes didn't come with one, installing an AC voltage regulator is a very inexpensive and easy way to add a little protection. If the headlight burns out, it can at least save the tail light from doing the same and may prolong all bulb life.
