86 350x engine in 85 350x

I need to install an 86 350x engine in an 85 350x just for a test run. is there anything I will have to change on the 85 except the clutch cable?

Nope, reroute the clutch cable and you are good to go.
You will also notice that the cam chain adjuster on the jug is different, but that won't affect your test run.

Not sure if it will matter in your case, but the engine hangers are different.
