Hey guys, I have a few questions about the 350x rear brakes

First is I have a lot of play where the rear caliper bracket or stay goes around the bearing carrier. Is there supposed to be an o ring or something there? My bracket also looks a bit damaged so it might just be bent out of shape a bit causing the play. It’s also an aftermarket bearing carrier so could that be the issue? Would consider buying a bracket in good shape if anyone here has one to sell

My master cylinder and caliper are in very rough shape, I am planning on replacing with new/ oem in good shape. Has anyone bought these new parts on e bay? I see a few listings there but would like to hear from someone that has bought these and tried it to know how the fit/ durability is. Or again if anyone has these parts in really good shape I would buy from here as well.

My rear rotor is also bent pretty bad. Is this something that can be fixed or am I better off buying new? If I’m better off replacing, again if anyone has experience with the new part off e bay or if anyone has one for sale here in good shape I would consider that as well. Thanks any help appreciated.

if you have a 86 you can just bolt on all 300ex rear stuff. rotor will be larger. I run a 250r rotor on my 85 modified to be a 86 with a yz426f front dual piston caliper. It was very easy swap.

Okay thanks for the reply maybe getting the 300ex parts is the best way to go.

The only thing I think won’t fit and I can’t seem to find anywhere online is the mounting bracket that goes on the bearing carrier.

Part number 43211-HA5-670

If anyone has this part in good shape they would be willing to sell or knows of something else I could use please let me know

I have tons of 300ex parts. I have the rear brake stay which you need, plus a bunch of rear rotor hubs. You'd need to buy a new rear rotor and a 300ex caliper bolt on and go ride. No mods needed for 86 arms.

Rear rotor hub $25
Rear brake stay $25

Shipping $ few bucks prob a flate rate box. text me if interested. see photo for proof..It's on a 300ex but it runs a 350x swinger. I experimented with everything to see what hits or fits. Nothing was hard at all.

1st photo is all 300ex stuff on 350x swinger bolt on

rest of photos is 85 atc250r rotor hub and rotor on 300ex axle, on modified 86 350x brake stay with yz426f front dual piston caliper. Its a harder mod which required welding, milling and use of reading a caliper. Not hard but not a drop end bolt on. I run 250R rotors on all my toys due to they are so small to clear rocks. 300ex is a easy drop in.

You can rebuild your master cylinder and caliper. Don’t waste your money on used stuff that is going to need the same kinda treatment. Search ebay for the replacement rotor, at one time there was an aftermarket one available.

Post a picture of your bracket issue. There are some bushings for the bracket.
