Atc 125 battery shorting

Hi. I recently got a battery for my 125m. When I hook it up, everything is fine, neutral light turns on. When I push start though, the pos terminal sparks and light turns off. Any thoughts on cause.

Ditto, ran into this when I went through the father-in-law's Fat Cat. Cleaned up the battery terminals and made sure the cables were good and tight, been good ever since.

I typically clean ALL the connections, especially the ground connections, on these old machines. Do it once/do it right the first time, and you should be good for years!
