How deep of water are we talkin here? Are you trying to imitate skidoos skipping water? I've hydroplaned like 15 feet of 4inch deep water on my Kodiak before, its lots of fun but you better be careful not to get out of shape because you will get tossed. I wouldn't recommend trying deep water.

i would go over something shallower but i don't want my front end to kiss my motor :o :( :D :-P

Well if you try anything deeper your FACE will meet your frontend.

people have "water skipped " 250r's before. a few years ago i got a video from a guy on here i believe that was doing it. the water was about 1 - 1 1/2 ft deep , about 100 ft long and they were doing pretty good. if my brother-in-law is still set-up to make mpegs from a tape i will try to get some footage. it's pretty wild

Pond or Puddle Skimming is fun! I never really tried it till I was riding a friends 250r kinda just nail the throttle when you get into the water...the rear end just floats! It doesn't really work on my 200X, I don't think you can get enough rear wheel RPM to float well. Maybe someone has some suggestions.

a guy i ride with had his throttle stick on his tecate and he hydroplaned across about 10 feet of 4 inch deep water and ate it on the other side...guess the paddles kept him movin enough...
