Hey guys, searching for some info on how to make a bigred thumb throttle work on a 185s. I got it on there but it seems the cable at the carb end could use a shorter casing on the throttle cable. Meaning that it is partially opening the throttle. Didn't know if there was another cable some of you guys to make this work. Thanks

you could rig it, but I wouldn't. order the correct cable.

Yup - shortline is correct - in 1985, the 200S (and all Honda ATCs I do believe) started using a much more modern throttle box. I think the 1985 ATC200S uses the same throttle box as the 200X and it is super similar to the Big Red as well.

Yup,as soon as I saw the part that shortline shared with me I saw it immediately. The throttle end of cable will screw into the thumb throttle assembly exactly like the big red and I noticed alot more cable at the carb end.!! I'm pretty happy about it. I gave 20 bucks for 2 bigred throttle assembly's off of big bird at trikefest.
