Anyone recommend a product that will clean and protect the wiring and wrap on these old harnesses? Getting ready to put the harness back in my 200M but it's kinda dirty and nasty, I'd like to restore it and clean it up but not sure what a good cleaner would be. Thanks!

I don’t know if there’s something better out there, but I have always used a rag soaked with WD-40 to clean old wires up. Don’t use thinner!

Heat shrink wire sheathes are great for dressing up old harnesses as well, but you usually have to remove connectors to get them on.

Dawn dish soap and a bucket of water , let it dry out in the sun when done . 3m electrical tape for the exposed wires .

Ok thanks for the tips fellas. I looked it over tonight, it's gonna need a good cleaning, as well as at least 2 or 3 wires repaired, either pigtailed or need a new connector. It's those little bullet connectors, I think I could probably get them online somewhere pretty easily. Likely end up cleaning the harness and re-wrapping the whole thing.

Alumabright from Napa works well too.
