I just sold my motor from my 250sx and i need to know the best way to ship it. Has anyone had any experience with something like this? Crating and type of shipment and cost? Any info would be appreciated. If anyone is looking for anything in particular just pm me.

Buy a big rubbermaid box... the roughneck ones. Put the motor in there, pad it up, then zip tie the top shut. Shipping ranges from 30-50 depending on where its going, and how much it weighs.
shipping motors is easier then you think! :D

yeah ,,, what CHAINSAW says works very well. wal-mart, K-marts have those plastic totes for reasonable prices.
the last motor i shipped i used a thin peice of plywood on the bottom and it held up great. others i have shipped wothout the plywood ,,, the tote didn't fare so well.

boxes are to heavy.. your adding another 5-10 pounds that way. 70 lbs is about max Id think of the weight.. and Ive always used UPS.
