125M sticky throttle

Hello, My 85 125 M is afflicted with a sticky throttle. I had the carb rebuilt about a year and a half ago, and believe that I replaced the cable at the same time, so I don't think that it is the cable. My suspicion is that the slider is getting sticky and may be the culprit. Any suggestions in how to fix/prevent this. Admittedly, it hasn't been ridden a lot recently, but I do try to start it up every 2 weeks or so to have a rip around the cul de sac.

You may want to lube the throttle cable. That may help some.
