Hey everyone, I've had the pics for the upgrade, or mad, but I have nothing to edit them with. I can't use paint, which wont load em, and I can't use photoshoppe because it turns them into pdd files. I'll try to get photo shop 7, which should allow me to edit them. In the mean time, I'll post some pics. See that arm in the middle of the pic that seems to attach to the clutch? Well, it needs to come off! It should look like the second pic after you pull it off.

P.S. I hate uploading pics. Is there any way to upload a pic directly off my computer? I was able to do it a while ago, but it looks as if I can't do it anymore! :xhttp://images.cardomain.com/member_images/2/web/518000-518999/518320_3_full.jpg

Ok, now, you see that little think that looks like a U, and grabs the arm? Well, that needs to rotate up, 1 position. You see that I have the other piece on there. Make sure that it is oriented along with the marking, or pins in the case. http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/2/web/518000-518999/518320_6_full.jpg

Now it gets tricky. I will need to draw a few diagrams to show you fully, but you need to attach an arm to one of the forks. This will give more leverage to the rotating disk, and keep the cable away from the clutch. I'll show you some pics of how the mechanism works for now, so you will get the idea. Here is a pic of it at rest, how it sits with no pressure. http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/2/web/518000-518999/518320_7_full.jpg

In this second pic, you will see how when the forks are turned by the arm, they cause the 3 balls to become offset, and push outward. Heres the pic. http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/2/web/518000-518999/518320_8_full.jpg See how the gap increases? This puts pressure against the clutch, which causes it to slip.

I read in a Dirt wheels mag when person added a manul clutch to his 250ex, and it said it made it faster.

Was this a tech report or just a reader writing in?
i just think it might of seemd faster becuse he was squezing a leaver

unless he mabie changed some clutch plates or stuff like that and gained some grip??? no?

anyways
i just grabed my side case and had a look at it and the clutch setup on my 200 and it looks like 3 holes and remove a few plates and its all cake
but i need to look in the light lol
will post more about this when i figure it out

can somone post a picture of the inside of the 200X side case where the clutch cable enters and a pic of the outside where the clutch cable go's into the case? cable on if ya can thanks

snaped a few pics

1 hole in the case in the center of the spring retainer to pass the cable through
and a hole in each side of the clucth leaver over spring and install a stainless steel rod through with a nut on each end to keep it there

and remove the auto clutch plates off the shifter shaft

then all one would have to do is find a way to lock up the centrifugal system

outside case pictures

im not sure where the normal oil level sits when the engine is all together but i will assume that its over the location where the hole in the case would be so that would have to be a sealed loaction

and 2 outside pictures where the hole in the case would be
used my sungalsses as a pionter (better than my fat finger)

heres my 90 stroker motor

full flow oil system and manual clutch

Hmm, that is tricky. I'd need to see how that lever is set up tot he shifter shaft, and the clutch. But, it looks as if that lever rotates, and takes the place of the discs on the 110. On the 90 stroker there, it uses a new side case. You could fabricate a hole in the stock case, to accept the clucth mechanism that pushes the clutch in.

Crash did you test yours out ?? if so how does it work?

You do realise the clutch in the auto engine does not have as many friction and steel plates as a proper manual clutch. Using this setup as a manual clutch will more than likely slip after a little while. It does not slip as an auto because the centrifugal clutch is taking the strain in the initial take off.
