I know you shouldn't put smaller wheels on a shaft drive bike because it will burn out your rerar end, but what about larger wheels and tires???? If you can't, why not???

where do you get this information that it will burn out your rear end???? I put 22" tires on my Big Red and stockers are 25". The rear end won't turn any more rotations / engine revs. Why do you state this???

That's just what I heard on some posts on here, I was just wondering if I could put bigger tires on my YTM225 to add some extra ground clearance.

Yes, bigger tires add some extra ground clearance. But I don't think you should go over 25". Why? First: There's a maximum tire size, and if you don't respect it, the tires will turn by touching the fenders. Second: big tires are very ugly...
