Hey i'm new here but searched to no avail.
I'm doing a restoration on my late grandpas 200E and I am short a couple parts.
I am curious if anyone has ever made their own Splash guards for the front and rear fenders?
What type of rubber would you use? or does anyone know of a place that could make them for me?

Ebay has nothing but NOS that is $$$$$$

just thinking out load hear, maybe a thin mudflap or even a floormat from inside a car or may be a piece of conveyor belt.
Most folks here would source out OE flaps but I understand, being budget minded.

So I’d do OE flaps but I have not been able to find rears anywhere I’ve looked. I found a front for $70 on eBay I’ll probably buy big still leaves me without rear. Oe isn’t really an issue as long as it looks OE. I don’t give a rats ass what it’s “worth” because it’ll never be sold.

There's a type of rubber material, available in different thicknesses. It may be EDPM, but I'm not certain. Specifically what material people use to make their own has been mentioned on this site, but I don't know the exact thread. You can do a search on here.

Whatever it is, it's not reinforced, meaning, it doesn't have anything like nylon cord inside. It's a solid type rubber product.

There have been some reproductions for other models, and they are much less costly than old OEM stuff.

These aren't for your model, but just an idea:
