It's the result of an albatross being humped by a turkey.

It won't even fly if dropped from a plane above Yellville, Arkansas on Thanksgiving.

Astro conversion kit.

I believe they're called Astro kits. It was an early conversion kit you could buy to turn a 350x into a quad. My father-in-law knew a guy who put one on his 350x, he said that the geometry of the a-arms wasn't right and it rode terrible, so you added a bunch of weight and didn't gain much of any handling . . .

I've never been a fan, but different strokes for different folks.

LOL, is this a reference to "WKRP in Cincinnati" by chance? I'm dating myself.

No. It's that they actually had tradition of dropping turkeys from a plane over Yellville and turkeys, aren't the best birds at flying. Thanks for the connection though.

It's like when someone say's that chicken flew the coup. Well, they don't really fly, they haphazardly flap their wings, become semi airborne, smash into the top of the fence, then kind of drag themselves over. That's why I just let them out halfway through the day, so they don't hurt themselves.

And here I thought that the biggest bird around Yellville, Arkansas was a Rooster (Cogburn).

My family got out of cock fighting when I was young, but I was raised up around it. I still have several of the bigger fight trophy's. I know a little something about roosters. My family had a very desirable breed that was known.

Rooster Cogburn was a fictional character. A real fighting rooster isn't something to be trifled with.

This is why nobody gives trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro about your junk quad builds

Because you're a dick.

I call it like I see it. You don't like it? Too bad. You're not going to do anything about it, dick

Good eye! Had to post some letters in white, to meet the minimum 10 character limit. If anyone can read this, yer screen colors are jacked up and you're blind!

I remember wanting one of those when they were available. At the time the kits were about $1,000-$1,800 depending on the model which wasn't too bad considering 4-wheelers were going to run you double that back then. I had no idea what they handled like and glad I didn't do that to mine.

I see them pop up from time to time so I wouldn't call them rare......maybe, not all that common?
I am surprised they don't have some collector value but the ones I see go for less than one with 3-wheels.

You're right. They don't add value, and if anything, the weld-on kits subtract value from the whole trike.

Think of them, like this...

An adapter that doesn't add value to the sell, and is laughable once the new tech is no longer in a transitional phase.

In complete reality, there are some decent Warriors, Raptors, 400EX, and other older sport quads for sale out there for peanuts. They all have some level of aftermarket support. Those Astro (type) kits have zilch, other than what's available for the 350X.

That one does have a 'dirt deva' decal on the front. Maybe that's appropriate for a transwheeler. :naughty:

For the fun of it I put one of those in a cassette to 8 track adapter and then into an 8 track player. Sadly, it will not work like that, lol.

Are you saying you wanted to listen to a Foghat on an IPhone, in your 1977 Trans Am's 8 track player? Why not just buy a new 8 track player with Bluetooth?

This is what happens when living too long during a period of rapid technological change. So sad.:beer
