I was told that you turn it in until it starts to run funny, then turn it out until it starts to run funny (counting your turns) then split the difference and leave it in the middle of the two.

Here is the problem, even though I maybe shouldn't complain, because it's running like a brand new machine, but:

No matter which way I turn the screw, it still runs fine. I've even turned it in all the way, it still idles fine. Out 3+ turns, runs fine. It'll sit there and idle just fine for hours if I wanted it too.

Should I just leave it at a base setting and forget about it? Anyone know how many turns out it came from the factory?

The Clymer manual says to let the engine warm up then set the idle, turn the piolt screw clockwise slowly until the engine stops running, then back it out one full turn and readjust the idle. The factory setting is 2 turns out. I would leave it at the factory setting if it doesn't seem to be makeing a difference.
