I need a set of tires for my new 350X and my project R and was wondering if the holeshots were as good as everyone says or if there is another tire out there that someone thinks outperforms all others...... any help or opinions welcome
thanks,
Ted

I have Holeshots on my Suzuki 250r, and I'm personally not crazy about them. They're outstanding tires when you're riding with absolutely ideal conditions, but they're terrible in the snow and any other loose surface. For what I do with my ATVs, having a diverse tire is really important, and they just aren't as versatile as the plain old Wooly Boogers on my 200x. Of course, a large part of this could be due to the fact that my 250r has craploads of extra power over the 200x, but I'm just telling you what I've observed.

I certainly won't be offended if someone with more tire knowledge says I'm wrong about this. Just my two cents. :-D

Different tires work for different terrain. It would be foolish to recommend any particular tie without knowing what type of terrain and riding style you do.

I have 20" Holeshots on my 84 250R and I ride on clay mostly. They work good on the clay and are fair when the clay is wet and muddy. Your terrain will affect the tire choice you should make more than anything.

well I mostly ride on hard-packed clay or grassy areas

My results are mixed.
I have 20" holeshots on my KFX400 and love them.
So I put a set on my 84' 250R and don't like them as much.
They don't seem to have the give to work properly with the suspension.
Gonna try something like rounder maybe.
However my friend likes the 22" holeshots on his 350X.

So I guess I'm no help at all........

Mine slide good on the dry clay, but still get good enough grip straight ahead to pull wheelies. They also do a good job tearing up the grass, much to the wife's displeasure.

I have holeshots 18/11/10 they slide good and are all around a good tire.
