Proportionately it would’ve been nice to have the box sides a little bit lower, but I want to haul more than just onions in it, so I sacrificed looks for function.

Looks good how heavy is it?

Good question, but I don’t know. I can pick it up from the back while it’s on the hitch. Wild guess, maybe 100 to 150 pounds?

The frame is all 1 inch 14 gauge tube and the floor and walls are 18 gauge. I used 16 gauge on the tailgate and fenders. The hitch bar is 2”sq 14 gauge and the axle is 1 1/2” 11ga. The skirt and top of the tailgate are 1-1/2” x 1” 14 gauge rec. tube.

The heaviest components are the hubs, they’re rated for 2,000# and combined probably weigh 12 pounds. Major overkill there, but it’s all I could find with a 4” pattern to suit the Tri-Z rims.

It probably looks heavier than it is.

That first scratch must of made you cry just a bit.
Very nice build.
I have seen some large plastic dump yard carts (Over sized wheelbarrows) , I could see one of those, pivot on a trailer frame to save weight and dump.
Again, Very nice for, Yamaha:)

I like it. It doesn't matter what color it is.

I tossed a heavy 3” hard plastic about 12’ thinking I could land it in the center. Hit the top edge and put two chips in it. As long as I can keep the tailgate and fenders in good shape the rest isn’t going to make me cry. In hindsight I probably should have done the bed with spray in liner. Live and learn.

I’ll be using my John Deere one for yard work soon as I get my X running again. Hopefully tomorrow.

WOW!!! Nicely done - your build looks OEM. I like it alot.

Mine doesn't see any use at all. Can't make myself haul anything with it.

Those are the photos I based mine off of. Stared at them and scaled the dimensions off of the hitch bar for a few hours at night.

Love those fenders! Also like the upswept rear, didn’t realize it had a purpose until I went to move the trailer by hand.

Any idea what thickness your tub is? I assume the bed and sides formed from a single sheet?
