85 Big Red 250ES carb?

im sure that this has been discussed on here but I can't seem to find my answer. I have the cheep Chinese carb on my big red and it runs fine for the most part but the choke cable isn't right and therefor does not work making it a pain to start cold. Now I see that the oem style carb is gone from eBay and only have the one like I have on there now. So I guess my question is what do I get now so that everything works as it should?

How does the cable not work right?

let me guess the choke on your Chinese carb is not spring loaded and has 3 de-tents or setting?
you need a carb for that bike that is cable operated. buy the $15 Chinese carb that is the correct one for that bike. with a spring
actuated return to open and cable operated.

no its spring loaded but its like the cable is too long with the new carb its the same cable I haven't changed that just the carb from the original the original carb was flat on top and now it has a dome top one
