Hey guys, I have an '84 Big Red 200E parts bike, and an '85 250ES parts bike.

From what I understand, the front and rear wheels are the same size and offset, meaning you can use a rear wheel on the front if you have to... correct?

Now is this true for all years 200 and 250 (Big Reds) also? For example, will a 200E rear wheel fit on the front of a 250ES? I don't have access to them right now so I can't check for myslef.

Basically I want to use a rear wheel from the 200E on the front hub of a 250ES. To me, from pics I've seen online, it looks like the 250ES front hub rim mounts are offset to one side more, but maybe not.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

One thing that may help your research is that the 1984 Big Red was the 200ES. The 200E was in 82 and 83 and had a chain drive.

Ooops, you're right, I messed up. It's a 200ES. Thanks!

The wheels are not interchangeable between 200es and 250es models. The 200es has a 4x150mm bolt pattern, whereas the 250es utilizes a 4x110mm bolt pattern.

Wheel nuts are also different. Flat up through the 84, tapered seat on 85 and later.
