One day I might have to use this as a FOR SALE sign. :)
I was out plowing snow one morning when I saw my Yamaha dealer drive by in the yami truck w/ a yfz450 on the back. He saw me and pulled over to chat. He stopped to tell me he couldnt find a 39t sprocket for my blaster :) He also told me he had a present for me at the shop. After work I went to see what he had for me. It was this awesome banner. It was folded up somewhere in the shop since the 80's. Theres a tri-zinger in the back but no TRI-Z.I also noticed that not everyone on the banner is wearing a helmet.

you spend too much money at your local dealer if he knows you, and stops by!! :) tell him mail order is alot cheaper!! :D mine dealer doesnt like to see me coming... i bring the price list from service honda, so he can match it.. it doesnt make him happy to overcharge me like everyone else he deals with!

For many parts, my dealer is the cheapest price I'll find anywhere. Anything I would order from dennis kirk or parts unlimited, I get for the same price minus shipping. I don't pay any shipping at my dealer. AND, since the parts unlimited warehouse is in Dallas, I get everything overnight!

Yes, the dealer has every aftermarket part your little heart could desire :D . And, like you said, NO SHIPPING! :-D

My yami dealership is a father/son deal w/ 2 mechanics that I know pretty well. The father is very set in his ways and not too many around here care for him(I'm sure GMAN will chime in with his comments soon enough lol) My dad and him dont hit it off good either. I've been dealing with him ever since I can remember and never had any problems.I've been offered a job there a few times but never took them up on the offer.
The son is the original owner of my Red Tri-Z.He raced it a few times back in 85. He is also still somewhat of a 3wheeler nut and checks out 3WW every now and then.Sometimes I hang out at the shop for an hour talkin about trikes, quads, bikes or whatever.I doubt I could call Denniskirk and have an hour conversation about the good ole days.lol
Say what you want but I like to spend my $$ locally.
I wonder if tri-z tunes is looking for an old banner for his office, :)
CHAINSAW- Print the pic and hang it up in your office,,,,thats the best I can do for now, lol

well see this is how it is. the owner of the shop has no sence of humor at all. i go there just b/c he is 2 seconds from my house and half the time he doesnt have anything in stock. and the son is getting just as bad as the father these days. i just went there yesterday for a kill switch to a bike and he said he doesnt have any kill switches in stock at this time i said ok. well how long will it take to get them, he says maybe a week or so. i said never mind i dont have that long(MAYBE A WEEK). NOW I TRY TO BUY MY STUFF ON LINE OR AT DENNIS KIRKS THEY TAKE CARE OF ME ON TIME. but for as jims relationship with these guys. im glad they treat someone some what good. but i have no use for these guys at all. one day someone will put them out of business.

My dealership is also like that...they arnt helpfull at all and they dont even have spark plugs in stock half the time..they can never hold down employee's because the guy that owns the place his name is glen is such a jerk...i call their looking for pistons and rings and sometimes a borejob and they always have to order their parts the say 3 days but its over a week and if they dont ask u for a credit card number they wait for you to call wondering if the part is in and they say oh well we frogot to get a down payment or creditcard number from you to order the part...we need it before we can order your part. If your not sure what part you want they dont give any tips or suggestions accept they preasure u into buying the most expensive part..they offer no tips on what prefourms better or any experiences they've had with brand names and aftermarket parts. It took them 3 weeks to get me a 1983 RM80 Idel Screw thats how stupid these guys are..the only nice people that work their have long since quit and left to go work at the honda dealer.
I was looking to purchase my first atv at the time and the dealership gave me some crap because i was looking to buy handelbar grips for my Suzuki RM80 and they wouldnt offer me any tips on what 1s hold out the best all he said was you just have to buy em and try em and if they dont work buy another set..im not made of money so i came out and said look buddy your service sucks you and your employees are unfreindly and very unhelpful and out and out pricks...since your the only yamaha/suzuki dealer in my province ive decided against buying a blaster from you guys cuz your so pathetic...well did that ever catch his attention and he got helpful all of a sudden but i just laughed and left and said not a chance.
I did end up buying a blaster but not from them..it was sitting in a guys driveway with a forsale sign so i bought it and now i have to get all my parts from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia because i refuse to deal with this dealership but the parts from NS and NB are cheaper even with shipping charges so its not so bad.
The place im talking about is Glens Cycle Works in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island, Canada..has anyone here had trouble with this guy or am i just lucky.
PS..i just thought i'd share my dealership story with u guys...sorry if it seems like my life story :P

and today.. i go in there(local honda dealer) for a part for my trx..and while im there ill pick up 2 other small bolts, and a spring.. well service honda say $22 for the part and like $3 a bolt and $1.06 for the spring.. yeah local dealer has NONE of it in stock and advised $37, $5 a bolt and $3 a spring.. and should be in 7-10 business days.. humm, and that why i shop with pooh at service honda for many years now! I say can you match it,, well no but 15% off that, he tells me service honda charges shipping too! crazy dealer!
