Rebuilding my '84 200M. Started fitting the rings onto the Piston. They all seemed to go on fine, just working by hand very carefully. But I'm concerned I may have stretched the 2nd compression ring slightly? Seems like it fits really big on the piston. It's the right thing for the Piston, I know that much. I would have thought it would crack before it would stretch no?
Here's a few pics....any tips are appreciated.

Typical with aftermarket rings , I’m sure it’s fine .

As long as it's still flat you're probably okay.
I work them on slowly and one side at a time thru the grooves because they do break easily!

It's a Shindy piston with TPR rings btw. And yes I worked it on carefully, I know they break easy so I was very careful. But you still have to stretch it a bit to get it over the piston. I worked it down a little at a time. It looks like it's flat still. It compresses and goes into the cylinder fine.

Don't matter how many you build, your azz draws up every time you install rings. LOL! I'm sure it'll be okay.

The rings are supposed to ride fairly tightly against the cylinder wall so that will hold the rings in place.
