I recently picked up a 350x and it had a aftermarket swing arm and rear axel you could build up or leave at stock width.
Just wondering who made them back in the day? HRE and Calfab?
If anyone has pics or info please post them. I’ll post pics soon.
Thank you

HRE is not old school, he is current school.
I've seen a Cal Fab and a West Coast, and there are others, but not too common.
Is it aluminum or chrome moly??
"Build up" an axle?? Do you mean just the spacers that can be mounted before or after the hub castle nut??

Definitely not aluminum. She has some weight to it.
Yes that is what I meant build up. Where you can adjust the spacers. Also the diameter of the axel is much thicker then the stock one. I just removed my stock swinger. I’ll take pics with each one side by side.

Looks like a durablue axle as well. if you plan on running your new setup, can you let me know how if the front and rear sprockets line up? I bought a new durablue axle back in '17 and they don't line up.

Thank you. I was trying to reference it on line but couldn’t find any info on these. Just a old price guide 274 new. Was there first and second Gen made for the 350x? Can’t seem to find any info on line.
I don’t plan on running this set up anytime soon but when I do I’ll post pics up devilman

that swinger is a cut up stocker, looks like they saved both ends and replaced the stright prices, its not done bad.
I was thinking the same thing. You can tell by the shape of the carrier section alone that it's a modd'ed oem. Would look good with fresh powder.

Bearing carrier is smooth across the top compared to the stock one. Could it be possible it was done by another company back in the day?
Lots of differences between the two and welds look amazing.

Lots of differences between the two and welds look amazing. The carrier has been cut, rotated downward, and welded for some reason, but it's not an oem carrier. The pinch bolts look typical westcoast along with the tapered side rails. It's been hacked and wacked, but it reeks of Westcoast to me.

What brake stay do you think that is? 85 and 86 350x have the same style correct, with the link that holds it to the swinger? 86 250r has the type you have.
I see the smoothness of the carrier now. The first pic looked the same to me until I zoomed in.
