will a ATC200X piston and cam fit my 200 motor?
and would a 200X cam bolt right in?
or could I go a lil meaner and bore it to fit a XR200R piston?
Would an XR200R cam bolt right in?
Is the ATC200 motor the same as a XR200R motor. just 0.5mm more bore and different cam. to go with the compression ratio increase.
7.8:1 vs 10:1cr.
My trike has been dead for over a year. I would like to bring it back to better then new.
thanks for all help

i put a 200x cam in my 200e and MAN what a difference. I also have a 200x carb and a cobra pipe.

my trike has a cobra pipe.
I'm thinking XR200R piston and cam. (oversized probably)
I hope the head is the same size. so I get the 10:1cr.
I might go from a 22mm carb to a 24mm.
aftermarket filter.
new sparkplug and gaskets.
I might redo the autoclutch if I can figure it out. how to do it/what parts I need.
New chain and sprockets. 10/47 gearing vs stock 11/47

with that selection. a person can gear a atc200 up 18.2% or down 27.3%

I went from 12t to 11t on my 200 and it made a big difference since i like to drive in the woods.I am also thinking about putting some 22x11x8 tires in the rear.

back to the piston and cam thought.
will a XR200R piston give my trike 10:1static compression ratio. or is the combustion chamber a different size then the XR chamber?
I would have to go with a oem style or better XR200R cam. to run pump gas.

Good luck. I tried to do it on my big red but it was a major pain in the arse so I took it to a stealership (big mistake, really overchaged) You will need clutch pressure plates, which as far as i know is the only thing thats normally supposed to wear out.
Olive123: As for a 200x cam making big gains in 200/m/e thats awsome. How much power do you think you picked up?

I will take out the engine/tranny. take it to a dealership to get the cylinder bored. auto clutch redone. cam, cam chain. higher compression piston. carb rebuild kit.
the rest I will do myself.
