depending on how long a "while back" you got the tires, they may not even be available any more.:wondering

They don't get much cheaper than this. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-PAIR-25x12-00-9-D-929-ATV-Knobby-Tires-Tire-DS7325-25x12-9-25-12-9/391869223752?hash=item5b3d39d348:g:JlUAAOSwoRBaVS1 u:sc:UPSGround!13160!US!-1

Deestone tires are decently cheap. i paid about 120 for a pair of the D292 in the 25x12x9 size. i have also run the d930s before (they are about $15 more). cant beat them for the price. I get them on ebay, they are cheapest there.

How true to size are those Deestone tires?

There are tires that cost less because they aren't actually the listed size when installed and inflated to ATC pressures (~2-2.5psi)

Same thing happens a lot with bicycle tires. True tire sizes can be a shady mess. I've used several current brands of 25x12x9 ATV tires, and I don't think any of them have been the same size. I've even had the same brand, same size pair of tires and had to run one at considerably higher pressure in one, just to get the same diameter.

I got a set of 3 tires for my 200es from TSC, it was an old item/model and they haven't sold it for years. I asked the manager about them and he claimed he sold them to me at a loss. The rear two tires were around $30 each while the front knobby tire was $35. This was around 10 years ago, tires are still holding up great but clearly you'd have to find a store with an old set of tires that the manager just wants to recover the self space on.

In the photo with several machines, it's the one on the right, the rest are 250es's and the near one on the left is my 250sx. Those rear tires don't look special at all, but they perform quite well for the tread being so close together. I've been through a lot of mud with them for what they are (2nd gear high range, or 3rd gear low range if I remember right at pretty high rpm).

They tend to run a bit short. It would be comparable to haw Kenda Scorpions run short. So keep that in mind. I have yet to find a 25x12x9 tire that is comparable to the factory Ohstus. I dont know if they are always short or if the factory Ohtsus are just really tall.

Yea for the most part atv tires generally run on the small size. The 28in highlifter outlaws big advertising point was that they were a true 28in tall tire.

I have a friend who had some 25" tires on his 250ES that I swore were 27". Those things looked HUGE for only 25".261070The closer one is the one that I'm talking about. The ES's are his. the SX is mine.

Not cheap though. The newer version has some extra side knobs.

The ones on your friend's BR are a bit worn down, but that's probably makes them better for a trike. They are still available in 25x12x9.

Yep. That's them. I just couldn't remember the brand and name. While not real cheap, I think he said that he got a deal on them at about $80 each. They are probably worn down since he and his girlfriend did a lot of dirt road cruising with the one that has them.
