was out today in snow about 4" to 8" deep and had serious trouble moving and steering was bad. i deflated the tires until they were soft. this did help but not a whole lot. now i know that this is not an old concept that it is hard to ride in snow that is moderately deep, but i wondered if using dune tires would help. has anyone tried? if so let me know how they worked.

There are a few thats made for both. "Paddle Masters" are made for sand, snow and mud. "Pro Wedge II"'s are also made for dirt, sand and snow.

I use my Skat-Trak tauler haulers all winter long. Never a problem. Just watch out when you start to dig in to deep for sticks, rocks, etc.

I have a tire that I was incredibly impressed with in the snow. Kenda Rampage. Some say its some knockoff for some other tire. But it did me very well. Almost too well since I like the slipperyness of the snow, and they like to grab if they dug deep. I was running in about 24in of snow.

hey, I've got pure sports realtors, they do pretty good, but this thing over powers any tire, except on asphalt. quads steer a little better in the snow. sand is alot more fun, you can pile it up.

Paddle tires with studs work good on my R in the snow. I am surprised that old fart hasn't chimed in. Does anyone remeber the 3 wheeler mag. issue that had the 200s with a ski on the front that did the snow tire test?

I don't have a dune front tire. I have often wondered how one would do in the snow. I've been going to buy one but I've never ridden with one so I don't know if it is worth the money.
