Big Red leaking oil.

I have a leak on the top part of my engine that has left a lot of oil residue. What do you think it is?

I’d suggest you spray it down well with WD-40, or some other sort of paint friendly degreaser and let it soak for a day, then power wash off all the old oil and run the engine while looking for a leak. Finding a leak on something that nasty is almost impossible and you don’t want to start overtightening your hardware unnecessarily.

I'd do what El Camxican says. I'd guess the the o-ring on your front valve cap is leaking and the oil is being blown to the sides and over the top while being ridden.
