1981 and 1982 Yamaha yt125 engine compatible?

I've got a 1981 Yamaha yt125h with a seized motor. Found a replacement from a 1982. Will that swap into my 1981?

Go on a site like this and compare part #'s. I see your cases are the same, so I'm guessing yes, they are identical, but you can do your own spade work to be sure.

Based on the wire harnesses, they electrically are the same. If I recall correctly the YT175 uses the same harness too, not sure if the engine physically has the same engine mounting though. Pretty sure the YT125 engines should interchange though. Like stated above, if the parts interchange that are critical for it to work, then it should interchange fine (aka the crank case being the same).
