Hoping to be in a similar situation, maybe not quite as self reliant, but guns, ammo, land all big check marks on my list. Got 6 acres but long for more.

FYI, check into PCP air rifles, you can make your own ammo as long as you have a source of lead, no gun powder needed, and worse case if an EMP goes off and takes out most electrical devices, you can get a manual pump to air up your tanks and a normal fire can melt lead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOYAjL1z3pkI have been wanting one of those for a long time would love to deer hunt with one not legal in my state but we plan on moving to tennessee to buy land its alot cheaper can get about 300acres for around 250g to 300g those rifles are bad ass has enough kinetic energy to take down a deer at 100yrds all day long hopefully it will be legal there by time we move if so thats all i would hunt with so i dont scare all the deer on the property probably have better success throughout the season especially if your trying to manage a herd for quality deer and need to take certain ones out to better the herd

Out of California !!!!!!!!!!!Seems like california is getting bad about the gun laws and what not they arent the only state though sad thing is the constitution says we have the right to bear arms doesnt say which guns we have a right to so the government basically can ban all guns other than say shotguns thats how i interpret it and seems like thats the direction this country is going they are trying to tell us what we can own so whats next only going to get worse im stocking up while i can and going off grid democrats are ruining this country if a democrat gets in office next i have a feeling bullets will be hard to come across and be high as hell so stock up now

If you can't get ammo, buy lead bars to make your own pellets.

Probably can get lead wheel weights from your local scrap metal recycler for cheaper, just have to melt it down separate the steel and skim the top. That's a LOT of pellets, just need the mold and air rifle.

I used to have a precharged pneumatic air rifle. Cheap one from some sort of traveling market that had cummins tools, saw it in the newspaper for 20 bucks.
Pretty decent too even for a cheap one, one pump and it’s instantly ready to fire.

Then the police took it away.

I’m better with drinking in moderation these days.
