Whats the best and cheapest method for shipping a frame i found a roller 200x frame for 375$ probably be my best route instead of making my own suspension i would probably spend more than that trying to put suspension on a hardtail

For a full roller you'd be looking at crate or pallet shipping, which is defo not cheap, probably $500 shipping unless isn't somewhat close. If it's not too far away you could always pick it up in person or rent a truck and make the trip if you don't own one. Just keep in mind mileage and whatever you value your time at. With the cost of shipping and such, I'd think it would be more economical to buy a whole atc200x machine that doesn't run or something, they go for around $1000 for a rider ready to go machine, broken up fenders, non running etc machines run around $400-600 last I checked (different areas have different prices of course).

I've shipped bare frames before, but it was smaller ones like atc90 and such, and it still wasn't exactly cheap to ship, but was low enough to be worth while.

I've heard all kinds of stories about shipping frames cheap- like $40. But when I sold a 250r frame about 5 years ago the best I could do was about $75 (if I remember correctly). I just wrapped it in cardboard and taped it up. There was a write up on shipping frames on here somewhere. Maybe do a search.

You might send a PM to "MR. Clean" on here. He has shipped a butt load of stuff like that.

I managed to ship a frame, subframe, swingarm, gas tank, shrouds and radiators last year for about $50 or $60. I bubble wrapped and puzzle fit everything I could into a box that was JUST large enough. Luckily I live close to a UPS distribution center. I took it to them directly and was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it ended up being. Good luck!

So is UPS the way to go then? $75? I have a powdered 86 250R frame I'm selling. Local market will never give me enough for it...

I shipped them FedEx bare frame with just tape and label. I attached wood blocks to the frame so it sat in such a way as when they measured it, the dimensions would be the smallest for height. I took it to a local office/ hub by the airport.

Fedex was by far the cheapest back then. I dont think it was more than $60

I’ve heard of people buying seats on a grey hound bus.

Ship bare via ups. I get frame all over USA for about $75-100. Other option buy a full parts machine.
