View Full Version : Early Nicholson frame

On these early Nicholson frames how was the gas tank and fenders attached? Now on tbe photo I posted, someone has welded on that plate and bolt for a tank. When I look at a pic of an early nickolson there is only a triangle shaped piece welded on the frame. How do the fenders attach :wondering

Good morning Matt, nice score. You are missing a part of the frame. Nickolson welded the bolt and the flange on there, the flange is for a seat latch box. That is the part you are missing. The bolt is for the tank to be mounted, using the OEM rubber pad. I have a few of those style of Nickolson frames. I hope this was helpful for you. JW
