Are all year Atc head and cylinder the same or are the 73-74 different from the newer years? I'm needing to do a top end on a 74 and will need to replace the head.

Easiest way is to look up the part numbers on a Honda dealership site like partzilla.com.

Looks like the cylinder is still listed as available. Probably would be the best source since you know 100% it's OEM and brand new. Looks like the fitment list covers all the ATC70 years.

Cylinder head is a bit of another story, out of production and looks like it's early models only, so like 1977 and older. Since the cylinder is the same for all machines, I'd think the heads could interchange from the newer models, but *something* changed, even if it was a tiny detail.

The ATC70's are not my strong point, but I know where to look for details. The 77 and older year is based on the first ATC70 being listed as a year based model being listed as a 1978, so I'm assuming K0 and K1 are up to 1977.

Good luck on the part search.

Thanks for this ps2. It's hard for me to believe that someone on this site doesn't know this information off the top of their head..
