I think I read somewhere they modified those back in the day to hunt in the Louisiana swamps.

I know this is old but yes that would be used to hunt in the marsh and whatnot where the roseau cane and grass was to tall to see any animals or where you was going kinda like the poling platforms on boats used for fishing flats gives you a better vantage point not sure if it originated down here could have came from any coastal or grass plains state

Def looks redneck might have worked good for what they was doing with it down here in the marsh they use airboats now and build a tower on the front deck to get up high and chase down amd shoot hogs works pretty good they also build towers in boats for deer stands so they can see down into thw marsh good if not it would be hard to kill in that thick stuff

All I can think of is how tippy it would be and how many times my gun would go for a drink when I flipped it lol

I've swam beside my honda 125m before across a 10 acre swamp.all the quads met me at the other side about 30min later after they rode around.
