Derp!!!

I did a dumb F thing.
I removed the case studs. They came out easy. It was necessary to get the case halves in my parts cleaning solution.
I didn’t remove them for the last engines I built but every engine I do I try to do better than the last. I really want this one gleaming like new money.

.....anyway. My idiocy.
I didn’t notice they were different lengths. Two shorter than the other.
It’ll be easy enough to figure out by slapping it together real quick and looking.
Save me some work if someone knows right off the top of their head though.

Thanks

No clue, not even sure which studs you're talking about but the head studs is what I'm guessing. Looking at the part diagram, the left crank case has the dowel pins and probably an oil circuit so I'd assume that side is the longer stud.

You can buy new exhaust studs and some longer ones at ACE hardware stores. I've replaced many. The studs that hold the cylinder to the bottom end hardly ever go bad or walk out.

The longer cylinder studs go on the left side case .
