Anyone have experience with this engine.

Wonder how much fabrication would be needed to get it into a 200x frame?
I have a lead on a junk trx.
Would be great to build a 200 Auto X with reverse.

I’ve never laid eyes on one of these engines though.

Also, are the top ends still interchangeable with the ATC 200 engines?

This has been done several times , 86/87 model 200x .

Well dang. Looks like my 84 200x won’t cut the mustard.
So THATS the difference everyone speaks of on the last generation 200x.

Crf230 bolts right in using stock carb

That would be sweet but expensive, and with no reverse gear and rearward kick start....well, It's kinda counter productive to what I had in mind. I bet that sucker would scoot though!!!

Ask 1970SHEP (SHEP1970????- Not sure) - here on this board - IF you are speaking about an 86/87 2nd generation 200X. The 1st gen. 83-85 200X, you're on your own!!

He knows EVERYTHING about a swap for the 2nd gen ATC200X and which parts/combinations give you a motor with auto shift and reverse...

Normally, he see's a thread like this and he jumps in...

Yeah, I think I'm outta luck. Mine's an 84
