on my new 84' R i am going to need new tires soon! but was wondering what kind to get i am running turf tamers on my 81' well they look them anyway. are those good tires because they are pretty good for trails thats what i am going to be doing alot here in oregon but i do want to go to the dune and them tamers got hella alot of traction last time...LMAO it wouldn't let me throw up any sand :-P. or is there better tires for better prices so if you guys would help and post pics and a rough price they cost it would really help alot! :? :-D

I run Kenda Klaws on my 350x and love them. they work alright out in the sand aired down. and awesome on the trails.

actually these wooly bugger type tires were awesome on my old aircooled, you could slide them around pretty good, and run them backwards at the dunes. Had a couple flats with them though. but they were a good tire for that bike.

For future reference, it's <i>Wooly Booger</i>. Wooly as in sheep, and Booger as in the things you get out of your nose.
And, uh . . . yeah, for the sake of keeping this post on topic, Wooly Booger tires have been a great universal "do anything" type tire for me. They're excellent on trails and mud, and reasonable in the snow. Haven't had them in sand, so I'm not sure about that.

Summer- i run razor because they get less grip and i can slid the back end around easy
winter- i run radial because they grip alot better
those are what i run and i find them to work great

I dont understand. It sounds like you are saying you have Turf Tamers on your trike but dont know what they look like?

I run 20" Holeshots on my 84 250R. They slide good and do alright on the muddy red clay on my road.

No, I messed up the last post. Were it says " I have turf tamers on my 81" that was a quote from a listing above not from me. I can get a set but dont know what they look like.
