Hey Guys!

I hope everyone is well. I joined this forum back in 2012 (6 years ago) and you guys truly helped me really enjoy my teenage years with the wonderful world of trikes from my first 185s too my 350x’s, 250r’s, 250sx, 250es, 200s, 125m’s, and even my tecate, you guys made it possible to afford parts and learn hands on how to fix them. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! I had life get in the way and sold the last of my trikes in 2015 well fast forward to now I finally started getting back into it and found a original owner 84 200x that sat outside neglected for over 15 years and I decided to save it while reliving my childhood and it Was beat. Peacock was sitting on the motor from how gone the tank was, now she’s a running and driving machine with lots of replacement parts but still plan on pulling apart and restoring. Well today someone offered me a 350x parts basket case for $150. After seeing one pic I offered $100 and drove 4+ hours to get what most would consider scrap metal lol well here are some pics of the 200x the night I got it and then current and then some of the 350x, let me know what you think of it and if you have any parts for the 350x you’d like to let go of for a reasonable price seeing I’d love to bring her back from the dead.

P.S I’m trying to figure how to attach pics from my iPad only can get one pic to upload

Welcome back! I was in the same boat as you, I was a member here back in the day when I was a teenager but sold my trikes when I went off to college. Nice score on the 350x! I'm jealous. I've been wanting to find one like that to bring back to life.

Looks like one on your forks is bent. Does it run?

I can’t believe the money and rarity of them now, this one might end up getting parted out to save others.

Yeah I believe the forks are bent but I haven’t had a chance to check yet and seeing as there’s no carb, wiring, electronics, oil cooler etc I have no clue if it runs yet. But it feels like good compression and the case is perfect around the front sprocket.

You've got a start with the 350X, but it is what it is. I'd like to see you save it, but I can also understand the money part too. If you look at it as a value to parts cost ratio, then you'll have almost as much in it as it would be worth. If you want the fun factor, then go for it! You could stretch the project out for as long as you want in order to buy one thing at a time. glad to see that you're back. I hope you stay around longer this time.

Thanks for the reply @350for350 I had three 85 350xs prior to this including one I fully restored with all oem
parts and powder coated frame and some NOS parts as well including plastics, tires, etc. I’ve made the decision to bring this one back to life and was able to purchase a bunch of parts I needed today. Still have a lot of parts to source but I will be bringing it back from the dead and look forward to the build and having you guys “along for the ride” as it were.

Pictures uploaded out of order for some reason but you’ll see pics of the 200x the day I picked it up and now waiting to be fully torn down and redone and then the 350x the day I picked it up and then with a bunch of parts I bought for it the next day
