I believe they're in NY. These are very futuristic looking with the way the seat and tank come together. I wonder how they ride? Gorgeous builds for sure

Nice trikes! Any idea what the fenders and seats are off of?

The seat and fenders look just like he ones I used on my 450 build. 2010 and up YFZ 450.

Did you put a tread up on your build? Sorry if I missed it. Link
If you don’t mind.

I'm not sure, but aren't those seats off of a Suzuki LTZ400 or 450 quad? I would assume that the fenders are from the same model.

The seat and fenders on mine are off a 2010 YFZ 450x. They look pretty close to those.

I heated the seat pan with heat gun to get the seat angle to flow with the tank better.

I don't know about those Husky builds, but the Yamaha 450 builds end up being about the same ride height as the YFZ 450 quad, mine turned out to be exactly the same height as my wifes YFZ. They end up physically being quite a bit bigger
than a 250R all around. I have 3" extensions on my rear axle and it handles well.
Stock length I believe would leave it quite "tippy" feeling.

Very nice!!!

Can I ask what your wheelbase and total width ended up being? Heck, I'd like to know every single dimension and angle if you have them available.

Next time I roll it out I'll measure it up for you. I thought the size was going to be an issue but I ended up really liking it. It's more comfortable to ride because my knees aren't as bent and the suspension is 10 times better. The extra length works out well, you can use all the throttle you want without the front end lifting out of control. I've completely stopped any work or improvement to all my old trikes because it just feels like a waste of time now.

WOW!! What beautiful builds, all of them!! My 350X now looks like a POS with all these conversions.

Guess I have to build myself one...

The guys who built these Husky conversions also sell pretty nice CRF 450R/X trike conversion parts. I have the website saved on my home computer and will post it here for you all when I get home this evening. The only issue I can see with them is the extremely high center of gravity from using the unaltered dirtbike suspension. Easy fix would be to shorten the forks and use a lowering link in the rear. Their parts look to be high quality and utilize TRX 450 seat, fenders, axle, bearing carrier, etc. The front custom triples utilize CRF forks with 85-86-250R hub with spacers and adapters to use CRF brakes and axle. I'm most likely going to use the triples in my next build that I am almost done planning and excited to share with everyone.

Anything you can share will be appreciated including the rake and triple tree offset as well as the wheelbase and width.

I am going to do everything possible to keep my KTM build as low as I can starting with a 22" front wheel, dropping the clamps as much as possible, shortening the forks by at least 1" if not 2" and if need be lowering the rear to add a little rake. I am expecting to be no more than 1" taller than my Tri-Z sits now with a 24" tire.

My concern, if I add rake to lower the trike, is that combined with a wide rear stance the turning will be slow and there may be a tendency for the front to push more than a "normal" trike does.

I've never had the opportunity to drive a conversion trike, but all the ones I saw at the dunes were pretty tall and no one seemed to be struggling with the handing.

The problem with shortening the forks, or doing much of anything to lower the height of the trike , is that you also have to be aware of the ground clearance under the engine. If you were using a custom frame or maybe quad frame conversion it may not be a problem. If you use the bike frame like I did, you kinda stuck with the stock length forks or your going to case it every time your suspension compresses. I think the extra height would be a problem for you guys that do flat track and maybe the MX style race courses, but for the dunes and the open desert type of riding I do it turned out to be a non-issue.

I usually end up with about 26 degrees of rake.

Seems to turn well and not "push"...

Those BVC kits look legit !.
That conversion kit for under 3 grand ain't a bad price. I did my 450 trike pretty cheap only because I've been a machinist most of my life and have my own welder. For those of you that aren't in that position, 3 grand for that kind
quality is a pretty good deal - in my opinion.

I have a few more pics, but they look kinda the same. It still needs to be torn down to do paint/powder coat. If you look at it closely you will notice the frame is still Yamaha blue and it might end up with an aftermarket gas tank. My plan was to do the tear down and paint this summer but I took on a boat restoration project that has consumed all my time. So the plan is to put another riding season on it the way it is. I thought after riding it for a full season last year that there would be some changes needed, but it turned out it really doesn't need anything major. The only thing I have planned is to soften the front suspension a little. One thing I did add to it was a trail tec "dash board" that has GPS, engine hours, rpm, water temp and a few other things.
