I have been considering building another air cooled 84 250r racer. I know the 83- 85 200x ,81-84 250r aftermarket axles all interchange. But aside from dropping a fortune on a new Durablue (if they still make them)These axles are hard to find. I was wondering if anyone found a later model quad axle/carrier to work in a 2nd gen R. Thanks

Hay good afternoon. I was told the EX300 axles are interchange-able with 83-85 200x's . I was told that, not for sure. If so, I maybe able to help. Oh yes Durablue still makes axles for what ever you want in ATV sport. Let me know if that helps you. JW

When I bought my 84 R, it had a 200x axle in it with wheel spacers. I decided to find a used stock axle. I'm not a fan of running wheel spacers. I still have the axle and spacers.

You can put about any Honda axle in a Honda. You need to make spacers and watch for id / od of bearings. I put 300ex in 1st gen200x. 2nd gen r and 2nd gen 200x use same bearings. It's all about spacing. 300ex axle in 1st gen 200x is way harder then 2nd gen.

Online on partzilla they say all bearing and seal sizes, then tell you what it's all used on. If you can't use the free info to make it work hre will built you whatever swinger you need running newer honda stuff.

I mean I just blew 450rcaliper on an 86 atc250r. Did it same way by looking things up.

I have a post on here about my deal on my kx112 200x. Has too much info. The swap might cost ya $200 max used. Maybe more new.
