Fuel filter?

I noticed the local shop sold fuel filters. How many of you put one on :?:

i use 1 on each of my 3 trikes. right in between the tank and carb.

i get mine from the hardware store ,,, cheaper.

How much is a good price :?: I see there are two sizes a local (small) motorcycle shop. I also have a True Value Hardware Store, I'll look there too.

My 225 dr comes with one installed in the tank, but I bought one of those small brass filters. Works well, and keeps the carb floats from sticking open from crud coming through.

Is the brass better than the paper since I use 2 cycle oil and the paper could stop oil from passing :?:

i just use a hardware store one in line too. easy and cheap.

What do they look like? They are ok with 2 cycle fuel?

the ones i use are little red Briggs and Stratton things. they look like a little red thing with a barbed tube on either end to put a fuel line on. just go into the lawn mower section of a hardware store or anywhere and they'll have universal fuel filters. get the one for the size line you need. i don't see why they wouldn't work with any type of liquid so they will work fine on your 2 stroke.

The paper ones work fine for premix too.

Got the paper filter @ AutoZone for $1.99 (looks like the old VW fuel filters)
