although I ralleye my big red 250 es pretty good, my buddy smokes me on his now home built track, on the 200m I bought him about 6 weeks ago. He was a 3 wheeling stud back in the 80s....then family and work got in the way for 33 years. He still in good shape and I bust his balls as to why he hasnt gotten a toy on his place back off the beaten path over all them years. I finally just did it and bought him the darn thing. Now hes thanking me over and over. We are having a blast at his place....8 acres, great hill climb at least 120-140 feet, a mud bog, tight woods. Its a blast. Trails galore. I'd like to pick up something just a hare more nimble, to keep on my buddies tale. So,,,,,what do you all think.....250SX or 200X? And why?? Opinions please and thanks.

250sx. 200x is tiny little chain drive rever. I liked the kinda utility that the sx had for explooring.

Of the two choices, I've only owned a 200X.
I don't like doing a bunch of woods and creek riding on the X because of the chain drive. Mud and water are hard on a chain. It's definitely nimble though and would surely keep up with a 200M.
My best GUESS is that you're going to want the 250SX just for the sealed drive train, rear suspension, and most of all the reverse... The 200X is a sport bike that's better suited for a track than trail riding and mud bogging

Vote would be the 250SX. For reasons stated above by ironchop. Also auto clutch. From what I hear they move along very well.
I have only owned a 200X.
