ENGINE WILL NOT TURN ALL THE WAY AROUND, Something stopping it. I can turn it by hand just about all the way around and back...when it stops = the clutch can be spun ..Thought's :wondering

I think your timing is off and the piston is hitting a valve Or you have a valve sticking open.

Are you trying to turn the engine with the clutch? If so, is it possible that the engine stops turning at TDC on the compression stroke allowing the clutch to "slip"?

Looks like a cylinder stud spacer guide, like the one thats on the right side of your first picture. Just curious as to how it got out of place.
