Affixing to fiberglass "plastics"

Its going on a trike, so i'll put it here. What would you guys use to adhere a metal emblem to powdercoated fiberglass fenders? The emblem has a 3M taped backing. Can i trust that or should i augment it with something? Do I just clean the area with alcohol before? I dont want to lose it.

3M is good stuff. I would use alcohol to clean the area. Warm up the area you plan on putting it good, should stick dam near forever. Or you could rivet it?
