What do these do? Is there a market for them. I have a friend willing to repo with his 3d printer. One is missing somthing I think however, it looks broken off.

This is a 350X frame. Looks like the same thing except the X are metal and welded into place. The air duct holes are there on an X too so I assume they are diverters?

I get they go over it but they are not forceing air into the frame. One of mine is broken, like somthing attached to it. I'm trying to figure out that. I'm cutting a frame up so things not needed are going. I want to make sure they are not needed.

the bottom one in the first picture is supposed to have 2 fingers that come out to hold the plastic electrical connection to the headlight or left handlebar control switch.

I can weld plate over to keep stuff out, you swamp it that plastic thing is not stopping anything but some rain drops, least i know what they really do now..

If you weld a plate over the hole you wont get any air to the airbox.Unless your going to use a pod filter.

I believe they're there to direct air down the backbone for the airbox. It seems like they would be more effective at doing that if the backside wasn't open.

Funny my atvs have no frame holes and i get plenty of air for a 60hp motor. Open air box lids do wonders sucking oxygen.

Most of the Honda trikes get air threw the backbone.
