I have a hondaline speedometer on my big red.
The damn one piece "innards" of speedometer came out of its cable, and must have fell out.
Does anyone have any clue where to get? Or will other speedometer / odometer cable "innard" work? I dont know what the heck to call it

You are saying the cable itself slid out of the sheathing correct ?
You can get a ct70 cable for under 20 dollars to replace whole thing. Let me do some looking around to see what I and others poster up about it,,,

Yes, the metal thingy that gets spun by the hub, and transmit to the speedometer, fell out of the cable sleeve.

Okay Mike, it is Honda CT110 speedo cable your looking for. This ad don't say length,,, find one that do so you get at least as long as a sheath that you currently now have (if its oem Big red 250 it should be about 29 1/2 inchs long).
There are 2 different lengths (and ends) for the ct110 so look closely.
ATC Matt from Australia may chime in,,,, he is a guru on the replacements.
