I can't see your pictures for some reason Taz. I don't think the pit bike ignition will work just by the sound of the idea. I think if it were that simple a lot of people would be swapping ignitions around from bike to bike. I've never heard of anyone using the wrong ignition components and making it work.

Oh I get it. You will have a harder time finding parts for trikes than quads, but they do exist. You have the right idea by attempting to utilize modern components if possible, but I just don't see this working. I could be wrong, but if it did end up working at some point it would likely take more effort than it would to find the right parts. If you're patient and keep looking you can likely find what you need.

On the plus side, I can see your pictures now!

Do you have a factory stator now? It might be able to be fixed.

OK. As you've already found out, it looks like there aren't any options brand new and there's only one on eBay and it don't look great. I'm not the electrical expert on here, but I have seen guys rebuild stators and rewind coils. There's a guy on here named Rubbersalt, I'm thinking he was one of the guys rewinding his own coils. I hope I have the right guy. Somewhere on this forum there is at least one thread about rewinding coils because I have seen it. It may not be easy, but few things easy are worth doing. Who knows, it might even be easy to you! I saw you posted a wanted ad so that's good, maybe something will come up.

There is a guy ps2fixer on here who builds wiring harnesses but I believe he needs an existing harness to work with. I don't know if he'll be of any help to you but I figured I'd just toss that out there.

I asked a friend for you if he had the parts you need. He has an entire machine he can sell you for $250. I see you're a little more than a hop, skip, and jump from Missouri though.
